Between Thursday July 17 and Saturday July 19, 2008, while doing demos at BREYERFEST at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY my horse trailer was stolen. See photos and description below. Remember, when and if this trailer resurfaces it will probably be a different color. Look closely!
Pony Express Brand, year 2000, no model name marked.
a.. 2 horse straight load with dressing room.
b.. 16 ft long
c.. Grayish-champaigne(tan) in color.
d.. will be missing divider or possibly have a mismatched one inserted.
distinctive markings:
- small dent on front, about thigh-high (see photo)
- "do not tailgate" sticker on the back
- squiggle of tone-on-tone clear paint on the front
- At the time of theft, spare tire was bald with thread showing
- At the time of theft, one of the side-back screens had a small rip
- At the time of theft, tread stickers had been peeled off & were missing

Also stolen with trailer was my Longhorn western saddle. Of little retail value but immense sentimental value and with VERY distinctive tooling. The saddle WILL resurface somewhere, so please look at the photos.

Photos attached. This trailer was uninsured (lesson learned) so I'd desperately like to recover it. I know lots of you are members of other lists and forums. Please, please, please cross post! After $2.5k in vet bills this summer I am not in a place to be able to trailer shop. Fugitive Accused Of Stealing Second Horse in Clermont County

A fugitive eluding Clermont County authorities on horseback, has returned the horse to its owners. That was the second horse police believe Christopher Crosby stole from a farm in Laurel. People who live near the town of Laurel say they will take shifts to search for Crosby.

A fugitive eluding Clermont County authorities on horseback, has stolen another steed.

People who live near the town of Laurel say they will take shifts to search for Christopher Crosby.

Deputies believe Crosby stole a second horse, which was returned to its owners Tuesday night.

They say it was rounded-up on the Crosby family farm, indicating he is staying close to home.

Crosby skipped out on sentencing earlier this month for home invasions and gun thefts.

The victims want him caught.

"She's underweight, 120 pounds, he's just ridden her to death," said Brenda Wingo, horse stolen. "She was covered in ticks, there was a cut on her back leg."

"And it hurt when I found out he was gone, I was out all day looking, all day," said Vickie Hoffman, horse stolen.

"More of frustration than anything else, people are pretty much fed up with it," said Ed Wildey, horse stolen.

Neighbors snapped a picture of Crosby on another stolen horse this past weekend.

He's also accused of riding around on his father's horse at one point.

Christopher Crosby is 5'10" and weighs 140 pounds.

Colonel's Might "DOC" - Missing in bad divorce. Suspect husband is hiding him in the se Smith/ne Cherokee counties area. Doc belonged to wife prior to marriage, and she is afraid she will never see him again.
This horse is on medication for ulcers and will become sick without them. Husband could contact local vet to treat ulcer or even to geld him, so please post in all local vet offices, feed/tack stores, etc.

Keep in mind that Easy might have foaled in the time since she's been missing. Therefore, we might be looking for a mare with milk or is being used as a nurse mare for someone who's lost a foal.

NetPosse.com Idaho Alert - SC - 3 Horses Missing from Rescue - May 12, 2008
Lisa trusted a fellow rescuer in South Carolina, and compensated her, to care for her horses while she was in the middle of a transition. She even stated a few of the horses could be adopted out to approved homes. But when Lisa was ready to have the horses shipped back to Florida, things fell apart. Despite paying for Coggins and part of the shipping in March, the horses never arrived in Florida.
Finally another shipper was sent to SC in May. He found the horses on the property in deplorable conditions with no water and the rescuer not at home. After taking pictures, he called authorities and several horses were removed. Two on the property were Lisa's and are now back home in Florida.
Lisa was stunned to get the pictures later and recognize Chloe, who she was told had been adopted out. Chloe was almost a skeleton. The next day Chloe disappeared.
Where is she now? Was Heston also there though he was to have been adopted out? Lisa possibly recognized him in the pictures the shipper took. Where is Champ? Is he in a good home like Lisa was told?
Help Lisa bring these horses home to Florida!

MISSING MUSTANG!!!! In COOL, CA Area (But if stolen, could show up anywhere)
Email 5/23 My Nevada mustang (not BLM - He is an Estray) Dutch, who I adopted at your show in Reno from the prison program a couple of years ago is missing or stolen. Not sure how many of your readers are from this area, but I'm trying to let everyone in the community know. Somehow our back gate got opened and all our horses and burros got out onto Safari Estates, which is hundreds or thousands of acres of horse paradise for feed and water. We found them the next evening, but it was too late and dark to round them up. The next morning all but one horse returned home on their own. Have been searching all week for any sign of Dutch. Followed fence lines, checked for hoof prints at water sources, flyers posted everywhere, local adds, called brand inspector in case he shows up at an auction, filed a report with the Sheriff and animal control. I doubt he is in the local area any more. There are so many fences and horse people I don't know why he hasn't shown up. No signs of buzzards or carnage from predators. I just don't know what else to do to find him? Any suggestions?
Email 5/27: Dutch is still missing. No sign he is dead, no sign he is still in the area and no logic why he is even gone.

Skip's owner loaned him to a people stating they were a kids' camp. The people then refused to allow his owner to come visit, saying he belonged to them.
Neighbors report the people moved to Colorado, but that Skip did not go with them.

Hi there,
I tried posting this info to the Group earlier, but being new, I may not have done it right, as I can't find it anywhere. ;-)
Anyway, I received the following email earlier today. I called the owners of the two horses to verify the story.
They have already reported the theft to TSCRA. They can also be reached by email at: lisaschlitt@yahoo.com
I'm sure they would not only appreciate info leading to their return, but words of comfort as well.
Please post and cross post. Let's help them get their horses back!!!

PLEASE HELP! My four year old Ranchero was stolen from my barn in Houston, TX this morning (12/5/07) or last night along with another half Andalusian four year old filly named Chica. Both are chipped. Ranchero is snowflake gray with two back white stockings and a lot of white on his head, and Chica is a rose gray with dark mane and tail. I need everyone in the Texas area to keep an eye out for two new Andalusians that crop for sale. Both are broken to ride with limited knowledge - walk, trot only.  EVERYONE, I need suggestions about everything that can be done to try to get a horse back.  The chains on two fences were cut and a brand new silver three slant horse trailer was stolen with a paper dealer tag on it.  Ranchero's microchip number is 500A174E1A His DNA number is IAN7428.
PLEASE contact me with any ideas or experience that you have had that  might give me some help getting my boy back.

Lisa and Carrie are still searching for their stolen horses from Houston, Texas: Ranchero, a dapple gray Andalusian gelding; and Chica, a rose gray Andalusian/Azteca mare - they were stolen in Carrie's 2007 WW slant load, bumper pull trailer.
These ladies have filmed a video and uploaded it to YouTube to plead for the return of their beloved horses.
PLEASE HELP BRING THEM HOME!

Keep in mind that the two Alabama horses recovered yesterday were escapees from their pasture and ended up being loaded by some men who later sold the horses. Even though people saw the horses grazing in pastures no one call authorities. His little girls miss him terribly!

Jewel, an AQHA sorrel mare, and her 1-month-old filly, April, are missing from a broker. Supposed to purchased by May 1. Broker has sent a $5,000 board bill and also denied knowing anything abou tthese horses.
